Hello! I'm Anthony Charles, a multifaceted creative with a passion for graphic design, social media, web design, audio and video editing, and much more. My journey began in my younger years when my love for writing and performing music sparked a curiosity about how to get people to listen. This curiosity turned into an obsession with marketing and promotion—long before the rise of social media. I started by designing flyers, creating graphics, and building websites, all to promote my music.

Throughout college, whether I was part of rock bands, rap groups, metal groups, or performing solo acoustic sets, I poured everything into getting our music heard. I quickly realized these skills were valuable to small businesses, so I began offering my services to real estate agencies, retail shops, youth sports organizations, and more.

My passion for marketing opened incredible doors. It put me on stage at Van’s Warped Tour and even took me to Snapchat’s Headquarters to perform my original songs. My peers started calling us "The Kings of Social Media," proving that with the right marketing strategy, you can make an impact even without performing every weekend.

After college, I took on the role of Visual Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch, which became a pivotal part of my professional growth. This position was instrumental in refining my skills in branding, visual storytelling, and customer engagement. I was responsible for creating an immersive in-store experience that aligned with the brand's aesthetic and values. From developing captivating window displays to coordinating in-store layouts, I learned how to create environments that resonate with customers on an emotional level. This role also taught me the importance of consistency in branding and the impact it has on customer perception, enhancing my ability to create compelling visual narratives.

As I transitioned into more corporate and agency roles, I continued to build on these skills. Working at a small marketing agency, my versatility and eagerness to develop my skill set allowed me to service a wide variety of clients in both the public and private sectors. I had the opportunity to work on long-term projects with major public sector clients, including the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, and multiple cities across California.

Some of my proudest accomplishments during this time include:

  • Designing and developing Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) trade show booth presence at the World Routes Event.

  • Doubling the organic Instagram reach for the City of Sausalito, significantly contributing to citywide hotel revenue growth.

  • Expanding the City of Pacifica's organic social media reach to 363,000 people—10 times the city's population—leading to a 50% increase in annual citywide sales tax and hotel revenues.

  • Supporting the launch of Shop Local programs for Bay Area cities, generating significant incremental revenue for local businesses.

  • Creating the branding, website, and marketing content for the Town of Paradise's "Welcome to the Ridge" program, aiding in the town becoming California's fastest-growing community for three consecutive years.

  • Designing and developing the new branding and website for Visit Pacifica.

My work also spanned various industries, from pet food to music and concert events to pharmaceuticals. I pride myself on being proactive and able to self-manage multiple projects, even in remote and challenging environments. Clients have often praised my creative work, and I've always been eager to take on new tasks outside my previous experience, adapting quickly to sudden project changes and tight deadlines.

Now, decades after designing my first promotional flyer at 12 years old, I've pursued my dreams as a singer on big stages and honed my skills in marketing, design, and visual storytelling.
